How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

Dickinson's liberal-arts platform has enabled me to explore a variety of academic disciplines that I would not ordinarily experience at a typical large university. My professors have all been accountable to their students and seem to care deeply about our success. I have fostered great relationships with many of my professors. Perhaps most notably, Professor Dengjian Jin of the international business & management department has had a significant influence on my development (helping me cultivate a more creative spirit and offering advice as I've moved through the last few years at the school). Possibly even more important than academic achievement, Dickinson has helped me work on my social skills and really helped me come out of my shell after high school.

In addition, although I did not remain on the Dickinson tennis team for all four years for a variety of personal reasons, when I look back, I really enjoyed my sophomore spring playing for the college. It felt good representing the school when I competed in singles and doubles matches, and I always enjoyed seeing friends and parents gathering on the bleachers to spectate my team playing on Saturday afternoons.
