Dickinson College recently earned gold in the Council for the Advancement & Support of Education's (CASE) 2018 Circle of Excellence Awards Program for the "Carlisle, Pa., What You Want to Know" brochure. An oversized admissions piece that touts the many hidden gems that Carlisle has to offer, the piece was recognized for the top prize among more than 3,200 submissions from around the world.
"[It] does a great job of making the location seem fun and interesting," one judge wrote. "It's authentic and charming and aesthetically pleasing."
Also described by judges as relatable and easily digestible, the brochure was part of several new recruitment initiatives this year that helped attract a record number of applications to Dickinson.
The CASE gold award is the latest in a number of marketing and communications honors Dickinson earned during this fiscal year. In the CASE 2018 District II Accolades Awards announced this fall, Dickinson also received gold for the "Why a Mermaid?" Dickinson Fund appeal, silver for the Dickinson Four map admissions publication and silver for "Rite of Passage, Celebrating the Class of 2017" video.
During the fall, the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) also presented a MarCom Platinum Award to Dickinson Magazine for the summer 2017 issue and a MarCom Gold Award to the Red Devil Guide for accepted students. Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most respected creative competitions in the world with roughly 6,000 print and digital entries submitted from all around the globe.
