Dickinson fosters global learning through language study, cultural immersion and a global curriculum on campus and around the world. And it all adds up to much more than the fact that 60 percent of Dickinsonians study abroad in 24 countries on six continents.
“Our story goes way beyond the numbers,” says Samantha Brandauer, associate provost and executive director of Dickinson’s Center for Global Study & Engagement. “Global encompasses all the people on this campus, the intellectual life on campus and the lived experience outside the classroom.”
While Dickinson offers 38 programs across the world, we also host students from 46 foreign countries and are one of the nation's top institutions for foreign-language study, with 13 languages offered. All this makes Dickinsonians global students and global citizens.
And through this diverse setting, as Brandauer says, “Dickinsonians are inspired to live meaningful lives in a complex world.”
