How I got this internship:

I got this internship by responding to a posting from the Career Center.

What I do, day to day:

I manage social media accounts, the website and visit the Capitol to meet with legislators and discuss health, education and income-related issues.

Most valuable part of this experience:

The networking skills I'm gaining, as well as public policy advocacy exposure, are really valuable.

Advice for students considering internships:

Do it! Paid or not, it can expose you to a new passion, or at least let you know if that type of career path is for you. But only take something you're passionate about!

How this internship has helped me:

This internship has given me insight into the type of advocacy I'd like to pursue, which in turn will help me better set my career path in my final year.

Post-Dickinson plans:

I wish to pursue advocacy and philanthropic work.
