Generally, faculty interact with Student Conduct in two ways. Faculty members work with Student Conduct in the Vice President and Dean of Student Life Office to submit allegations of academic misconduct, or students may seek out faculty members to serve as their advisor through either the social or academic conduct processes.
We strongly encourage you to read the Community Standards thoroughly if you are participating in the conduct process or have questions.
Academic Misconduct Submission
When an allegation of academic misconduct is submitted, an informal resolution meeting or formal hearing will be scheduled. We will ensure the hearing date and time align with your schedule, as the faculty member bringing the allegation of misconduct must be present at the informal resolution meeting or the panel hearing.
Serving as an Advisor
We view faculty at the College as partners in accomplishing our goals of learning, accountability and integrity in Student Conduct. One way to facilitate this is by serving as an advisor to students going through the conduct (either social or academic) process. We encourage all students to seek out an advisor, as the mentorship and learning that occur in that relationship are invaluable. If you would like to serve as an advisor, please contact us, as students regularly ask for assistance in identifying an advisor. Additional information on serving as an advisor is located here.
