Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Susquehanna University where she had the opportunity to learn about residence life as a Resident Advisor. She earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!). After graduate school, she was eager to return to the small, residential, liberal arts setting. She started at Dickinson College in 2013. In her current role, she provides leadership and direction for the programmatic and operational aspects of Residence Life & Housing and Student Conduct.

Emily Weideman joined the Dickinson Residence Life Team in August 2021.  Emily, who is originally from Lansdale, PA, holds a B.A. in Political Science from Arcadia University and an M.A. in Global Security from Keele University.  Emily spent much of her college career traveling to places like Dublin, Ireland, Geneva, Switzerland, London, England, and Beijing, China, for internships and Model UN competitions. She has worked in Residence Life and Housing since 2008 in Philadelphia, PA, San Jose, CA, Helena, MT, and Morehead, KY and throughout her career has enjoyed working with students to overcome challenges and engage in global citizenship efforts and practices. 

Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, reading, and reaffirming her dog’s belief that humans are only useful for providing scratches and throwing tennis balls.

Tyler earned his B.A. in 2019 with a double major in Psychology and English from Moravian College and his M.Ed. in 2021 from Kutztown University in Student Affairs in Higher Education Administration. Prior to coming to Dickinson, Tyler worked in various functional areas of student affairs including residence life, student success, admissions, and more at various institutions in Eastern Pennsylvania. As one of four Area Coordinators, Tyler works closely with residents and student staff members to promote a safe and educational learning environment that fosters student success at Dickinson. He is also co-advisor for S.H.A.R.K. (Student Hall Association for Residential Knowledge) and advisor for campus recreation. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports (especially football), creative writing, playing with his dog Cooper, and all things Marvel tv/cinema.

Mike is a graduate of Felician University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences.  He spent his junior and senior year as a Resident Assistant for the Office of Residence Life.  After graduating from Felician, he went on to get his Master's Degree in Organizational Management from Misericordia University.  There, he was a Resident Director for Residence Life and Housing, working with all upper-class populations.  At Dickinson, he is an Area Coordinator for the Office of Residence Life & Housing Office, Sport Club Advisor, and Co-Advisor to S.H.A.R.K. (Student Hall Association for Residential Knowledge). In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his dog, Sylas, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.  He also enjoys binge-watching Criminal Minds on Netflix.

Amy Hudock serves as the Area Coordinator for several Upper-class Residence Halls and Small Houses and Apartments. In her role, she supports the Resident Advisors (RAs), Housing and Apartment Managers (HAMs), Special Interest Housing Managers and their residents. Amy holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and College Student Personnel from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. She is also a proud Dickinson alumna! Amy graduated from Dickinson in 2017 with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Health Studies Certificate. She is proud to be a part of the Residence Life team at her alma mater and excited give back to the current and future generations of Dickinsonians.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends and family and going for walks around campus with her dog, Riley. Amy enjoys getting to know students and maintains an open-door policy in her office – feel free to stop by and say hello!

Laurie is a US Navy veteran who has worked at Dickinson for 14 years, all of which have been in Residence Life & Housing. Laurie is often the first person you see when you enter the office. She manages many of the day-to-day functions of the office including key pickup and return, lock changes, appointment scheduling, work order assistance, and more. If you have any questions about Residence Life & Housing, feel free to stop by and she will be happy to help.

Laurie and her husband have two grown children and two dogs. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their granddaughter, Zoe.
