Jen Clark joined the ADS and SOAR team in September and is looking forward to supporting a multitude of Dickinsonians by applying her knowledge of Universal Design for Learning and disability law, her experience teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Special Education and Autism, and her passion for disability rights.
As the ADA Coordinator, Jen will be collaborating with campus partners to ensure knowledge of and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) so that Dickinson’s curriculum, communications, programs, and services are accessible to all current and prospective members of our community.
Jen enjoys volunteering, coaching her children’s sports teams, exercising, renovating her mid-century home, and traveling with her family. Her family also shares a passion for playing mini-golf. They have traveled lengthy distances to nearly every mini-golf course around!

Aimee Confer, graduated from Dickinson in 2000 and joined the team in September, and is excited to share her 22 years of educational experience and love of learning with Dickinson.
As the Access and Communications Coordinator, she will be wearing many hats as one of the first points of contact for the offices of ADS and SOAR. She’ll be fielding general questions, assisting students with the process of requesting and setting up accommodations or with study strategy assistance, supervising our student workers, supporting all daily operations, and using her skills and knowledge in the areas of creative problem-solving, social-emotional learning, and student support to address a myriad of ADS and SOAR-related needs. Aimee loves fitness, including yoga, strength training, and walking with friends. She also loves going to the beach and traveling with her family. Her favorite places she has traveled to are Uruguay and Scotland. One day, Aimee would love to visit Denmark, Norway, and Sweden!
Tracie Corliss
Assistant Director and Proctoring Manager

As the Proctoring Manager, Tracie Corliss is responsible for facilitating the proctoring of thousands of exams for students with test-taking accommodations when their professors are unable to meet their accommodation needs. She oversees a cadre of student proctors and supports professors’ compliance obligations by ensuring students’ ability to test with extended time and any necessary technology in a distraction-reduced environment.
As Assistant Director, Tracie has numerous additional responsibilities that include data management and contributing to the overall processes of setting up student accommodations, including the generation of all accommodation letters for students registered with ADS who are studying abroad.
In her free time, Tracie enjoys reading, crocheting, cooking, baking, and hanging out with her dog. She also likes playing video games (Final Fantasy XIV or Horizon, anyone?) and playing pinball. Tracie actually has 10 different pinball machines in her basement!
Marni Jones

Since January 2010, Dean Marni Jones has overseen the talented and growing team of individuals that comprise the offices of ADS and SOAR and who, together, provide support services to over 500 students and their faculty. Working collaboratively with departments and partners across campus, Marni oversees systems and policies to facilitate accommodations for students with disabilities, promotes education, engagement, and best practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging, and educates Dickinsonians about access barriers and how to minimize them – particularly through the use of Universal Design and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Marni is also actively involved in the Dickinson community, including serving on the all-college committees of SEEC (Student Enrollment and Engagement Committee) and EIB (Equity, Inclusivity, and Belonging), and as the President of the Dickinson Club. She reports to the Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, as a member of the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as to the Provost, as a member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Team.
Outside of work, Marni loves making flowers grow, playing word games, dancing, connecting with friends from her many past adventures (including her eight years living in francophone West Africa), and playing ultimate frisbee -- often competitively in tournaments across the country.
John Joyce

John Joyce has been working at Dickinson since 2020 after several years teaching middle school Social Studies and English. He is responsible for primary communications with the offices of ADS and SOAR, collaborating with students, their families, faculty, staff, and others to facilitate the disability-based accommodations process.
In addition to working on disability-based accommodations through ADS, John provides one-on-one academic strategy sessions through SOAR, working with any student interested in improving their academic skills. He also serves as an active member of the College CARE Team.
John enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, hiking, running, and watching baseball. He became a new dad this year. He is also a cat lover who has taken his three cats with him from coast to coast over the past decade.
Erika Salter
Access and Assistive Technology Coordinator

Erika Salter is the Access and Assistive Technology Coordinator for ADS & SOAR. She enjoys learning how technology can be used to help students succeed in higher education.
Erika facilitates note-taking accommodations (including loaning out smart pens and managing the sharing of supplemental notes), and she uses her training as a librarian to introduce students to accessible books and materials. She assists faculty so that their course materials are accessible. She also coordinates American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services.
Erika enjoys photography, baking (anything with dark chocolate), gardening, and exploring the town of Carlisle. You can usually find her with a cup of coffee in one hand, and a good book in the other.
