Students from any department who have done research on women, gender or sexuality are invited to submit abstracts of their research for participation in Dickinson's annual symposium, Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality by Students (ROWGS) taking place at 4:30 p.m. on April 24 in the Stern Great Room.

ROWGS is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their hard work, and to introduce faculty and students to the wide range of research on women, gender and sexuality being done across campus.

Research may come from a variety of classes, whether a senior seminar, an independent study, an elective, faculty-student initiative or a first-year seminar.

As these projects have originated in different disciplines and inter-disciplines, the exact format of these submissions will vary, but in each 500-750 word single-spaced description should have: a title; synopsis of the research question; the site of analysis; method or approach; and your interpretations and conclusions, (even if tentative); and a list of keywords.

Please include your name and major/minor; the class and professor for whom (or with whom) you did the research; and a reference list of your key theoretical and primary sources (these details are not included in the word limit).

Students and their faculty supervisors will be notified of the results of the selection process the FIRST WEEK OF APRIL.

Kindly contact Professor Katie Oliviero (olivierk@dickinson.edu) if you have questions and Susan Serafin (serafins@dickinson.edu) if you have difficulty submitting.
