Come join the Departmnet of French and the French Club for the following exciting events!

Thursday, Feb. 2, La Chandeleur: Crêpes sucrées at 6:30 followed by film screening of Libre et Assoupi / Nice and Easy at 7:30 at the Romance Languages House

Thursday, Feb. 16 7-9pm, Soirée Vin, Pain et Fromage: Merriment and celebration of three of France’s most famed culinary creations: bread, cheese, and wine! R.S.V.P required – space is limited.

Friday, Feb. 17, 7pm, Soirée musicale-littéraire avec Le Capitaine Alexandre: Come enjoy the entertainment of slam poet and author, Marc Alexandre Oho Bambe, with musical accompaniment in Weiss Hall.

Thursday, Mar. 2, 7:30pm, Le Dîner de cons/Dinner game: Film screening at the Romance Languages House

Monday, Mar. 6-5:30pm, “Le Mois de la Francophonie” Key Note speaker: Abdourahman Waberi: Presentation by novelist, poet, and professor of French and Francophone Studies and Creative Writing at George Washington University in Althouse 106.

March 20, Round Table on Françafrique: Panel discussion with US War College International Fellows from diverse Francophone countries. Time and place TBD.

Wednesday, April 5, L’Armée du Salut/Salvation Army by Abdellah Taïa: Presentation, film screening and Q & A with the Franco-Moroccan author and filmmaker, Abdellah Taïa

Thursday, April 6, 7:30pm, Qu’Allah Bénisse la France/May Allah bless France: Film screening at the Romance Languages House

Sunday, April 23, 6pm, Global Francophone Dinner: Join us for the second annual collaboration between the French Club and the Global Gastronomy Club for an evening of delicious francophone food and fellowship in the Stern Great RoomR.S.V.P required.
