Makenzy Orcel Visit - Spring 2015
Makenzy Orcel, author of two novels, Les Immortelles (Mémoire d'encrier, 2010 - Zulma, 2012) and Les Latrines (Mémoire d'encrier, 2011) as well as several books of poetry, visited Prof. Brindeau's Senior Seminar on Sexuality and Prostitution in Haiti.
Students read Makenzy Orcel's novel Les immortelles, wrote blog entries about the novel, and interviewed Makenzy Orcel. Subsequently, students produced podcasts featuring our guest's responses as well as their own analysis of their meeting with Makenzy Orcel.
It was truly an incredible experience for our students!
