Biology Study Abroad

We strongly encourage biology majors to study off campus and have devised a curriculum through which students can do so for one or two semesters without delaying progress toward graduation. As a result, almost 50% of our majors study off campus—five times the national average.

We work closely with each student to find the right program based on interests and areas of focus. Many of our majors have participated in Dickinson partner programs in England, New Zealand, Germany; at global locations with the School for Field Studies; and with the Semester in Environmental Science program hosted by the Marine Biological Laboratory in beautiful Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Our majors have also studied in France, Italy, Spain, Kenya, Costa Rica and Turks and Caicos, just to name a few.

For detailed information on all of our study abroad options, students should explore the Office of Global Study & Engagement website. Click the following links to view course equivalencies for our programs in East Anglia, England, and Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.
