The Distinguished Staff Award recognizes the outstanding achievements, dedication, and contributions of our staff members. This award celebrates those who have demonstrated exceptional performance, leadership, and commitment in support of the mission of the college.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Distinguished Staff Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Staff who are currently employed at Dickinson College and were hired prior to January 2024. This includes full-time, part-time, and casual employees of the college.
- Demonstrate excellence in their role (e.g., outstanding performance, innovation, collaboration, leadership, exceptional service, mentorship, problem solving, continuous improvement, etc.).
- Have made significant contributions that positively impact the college community.
- Exhibit a commitment to the college in the one or more of the following areas:
- Community Engagement
- Sustainability
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- College Operations
- Student Experience
- Advancing the Priorities Outlined in the Strategic Plan
Nomination Process
The nomination period is now open! Nominations for the Distinguished Staff Award can be submitted by any member of the college community, including faculty, staff, and students.
The nomination process is as follows:
- Nomination Form: Complete the Distinguished Staff Award Nomination Form. Use this form to provide a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions and achievements.
- Supporting Documentation (optional): As appropriate, upload any supporting documents that might illustrate the impact of the nominee’s work (e.g., such as letters of support, quotes from students, examples of work, etc).
- Submission: Submit the completed nomination form and supporting documentation to Staff Forum by: 5 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Selection Process
The selection committee, comprised of representatives from Staff Forum, will review all nominations. The committee will evaluate nominees based on the criteria outlined above and select the award recipient(s). The recipient(s) will be honored at the annual staff recognition ceremony and will receive a commemorative plaque or award.
