The Distinguished Staff Award recognizes the outstanding achievements, dedication, and contributions of our staff members. This award celebrates those who have demonstrated exceptional performance, leadership, and commitment in support of the mission of the college.
2025 Distinguished Staff Award: Overall Winner and Category Nominees
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Distinguished Staff Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Staff who are currently employed at Dickinson College and were hired before January 2025. This includes full-time, part-time, and casual employees of the college.
- Demonstrate excellence in their role (e.g., outstanding performance, innovation, collaboration, leadership, exceptional service, mentorship, problem solving, continuous improvement, etc.).
- Have made significant contributions that positively impact the college community.
- Exhibit a commitment to the college in one or more of the following areas:
- Community Engagement
- Sustainability
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- College Operations
- Student Experience
- Advancing the Priorities Outlined in the Strategic Plan

Individuals who won a Distinguished Staff Award in 2025 are not eligible for nomination this year. See 2025 Distinguished Staff Award Winners.
Nomination Process
Nominations for the Distinguished Staff Award can be submitted by any member of the college community, including faculty, staff, and students.
The nomination process is as follows:
- Nomination Form: Complete the Distinguished Staff Award Nomination Form. Use this form to provide a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions and achievements.
- Supporting Documentation (optional): As appropriate, upload any supporting documents that might illustrate the impact of the nominee’s work (e.g., letters of support, quotes from students, examples of work, photos, etc).
- Submission: Submit the completed nomination form and supporting documentation to the Staff Forum by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
Selection Process
The selection committee, comprised of representatives from the Staff Forum, will review all nominations. The committee will evaluate nominees based on the criteria outlined above and select the award recipient(s). The recipient(s) will be honored at the annual staff recognition ceremony and will receive a commemorative plaque or award.
