Flexible Spending Accounts

Health Care Flexible Spending Account

The annual election amount remains unchanged at $2,750 to coincide with IRS regulations. Over the counter (OTC) drugs and medicines are eligible for reimbursement without a prescription. In addition, menstrual care products are considered qualified medical expenses. Contributions should be planned carefully based on predictable medical, prescription drug, dental and vision expenses, because the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires that any money left unclaimed in your account at the end of the plan year's "grace period" (September 15) be forfeited.

Dependent Care Fleible Spending Account

The annual election amount remains unchanged at $5,000.

*Please be advised that the grace period for the 2020-2021 plan year has been extended from September 15, 2021 to December 31, 2021. The last day to submit claims has been changed from October 31, 2021 to January 31, 2022.
