Room Selection Delayed
Sent: April 17, 2020
Audience: First-year, sophomore, junior students
Two weeks ago, Residence Life & Housing staff let you know that room selection would be delayed by two weeks. At that time, we hoped to give you more time to adjust to remote learning.
As you are likely aware, there are still many uncertainties and Pennsylvania remains under a stay-at-home order. We don’t know what the summer will look like, and we have made no decisions about study abroad in the fall.
As a result, we are delaying the room selection for several weeks.
By continuing to delay and await further information, this will allow us to provide a process that is fair to all – including those in limbo regarding their fall plans to study abroad. We anticipate holding room selection after finals and will be in touch with more information as soon as we are able.
As in all things related to COVID-19, a few weeks makes a huge difference in what we know. This decision to pause room selection will simply give us more data and guidance to make coordinated decisions.
Thank you for your continued patience,
Associate Dean of Students
