How to Find Us

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is housed in Bosler Hall, a historical landmark on Dickinson Campus. The faculty and teaching staff represent a broad range of interests and fields of specialization which includes Latin American and Iberian literatures and cultures, gender studies, ethnic studies, as well as film and theater. The Spanish and Portuguese program offerings range from beginning language courses, to advanced seminars, independent studies, and an honors program. Enhancing the Spanish and Portuguese program are several study abroad programs: students may choose from programs in Málaga, Spain; Querétaro, México; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Department also offers a Summer Immersion Program in Málaga, Spain. The Department's activities are steeped in Dickinson's liberal arts tradition and embrace Latin American, Iberian, and Caribbean cultures represented in this nation's rich Hispanic heritage.
