Join us for a screening and discussion with the film's producer Colleen C Brady.
Amish Country Queer follows Brady Pappas, a trans non-binary photographer capturing the vibrant LGBTQ+ and drag culture in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. For Brady, photography is a way to reclaim parts of their life that carried rejection and isolation, turning them into pride and connection, and ultimately creating a living portrait of the evolving possibilities of queer life in small-town America.
Colleen is an independent filmmaker and creative producer who specializes in finding the fascinating in the everyday — drawn to underrepresented suburban and rural communities and stories that are quietly radical, life-affirming, and conversation-starting.
Hosted by the LGBTQ+ Center.
