The Pre-Optometry Society will partner with the Carlisle Lion’s Club to provide vision screenings for children in the Carlisle community.
Through this event, members will support the early detection of vision issues while developing hands-on skills and gaining experience in eye-care screening.
Members must obtain PA State Police Clearance (https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.ips) and Child Abuse Clearance(https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home). Please send completed clearances to Matthew Ferenz or Tyler Ferenz.
Members interested in becoming certified in KidSight vision screening can do so at https://www.lionskidsightusa.org/. Certification is not required to volunteer.
Volunteers are not required to stay for the full duration of the event and may participate for any amount of time they prefer. Please communicate with Matthew Ferenz or Tyler Ferenz the hours you prefer to volunteer so we can coordinate scheduling with the Lion’s Club.
