Women of Color Summit 2026

March 28, 2026

Together, we will create intentional spaces where women of color can share their stories on their own terms, challenge limiting expectations, and honor the richness and complexity of their identities.

The Summit will continue with a day of transformative day of learning in community, intentionally centering the voices, experiences, and leadership of women of color. We are honored to be joined by four extraordinary guests whose lived experiences and leadership journeys embody the courage it takes to define yourself on your own terms: Claire Ramsay, Zori Hamilton, Hattie B. McCarter, and Professor Alyssa Decker.

Lunch will be catered by Cindy Lam, champion for Asian American and Pacific Islander voices, dynamic woman of color entrepreneur, community advocate, and owner of Silantra Asian Street Kitchen.

This gathering intentionally centers women, gender-expansive, and non-binary persons of color. Consistent with our educational mission, all academic and co-curricular programs sponsored by Dickinson College are open to all members of our community.

The Women of Color Summit at Dickinson College was established in 2019 by student leaders who identified the need for a space dedicated to affirming, centering, and uplifting the experiences of women of color on campus. Entirely student-led since its inception, the Summit has become an annual, multi-day event that brings together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members.

This year’s theme, Authenticity: Defying Definitions, calls us to reject narrow narratives and reclaim the power of self-definition. Together, we will explore what it means to live, lead, and belong on our own terms, honoring the fullness and complexity of women of color at Dickinson and beyond.
