Join the Women's and Gender Resource Center and Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties (DVSCP) for a workshop
Join the Women's and Gender Resource Center and Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties (DVSCP) for a workshop, healing, and learning space speaking to the lifelong mark left by domestic violence. The Clothesline Project is a grassroots, feminist public art project that uses t-shirts decorated by survivors of domestic violence and other sexual violence to raise awareness and visibility of abuse that so often is hidden. Survivors decorate shirts, and then hang them on a clothesline as a visual representation of the issue that highlights the everyday nature of domestic violence.
At this event, we invite survivors of all forms of Intimate Partner Violence (domestic violence, sexual violence, and others) to make a shirt. Starting at 4pm, we will have a discussion and sharing of the shirts, which all allies and members of our community are welcome to attend.
