An angsty rock-musical adaptation of the seminal play about the trials and tribulations of growing up.
Set in Germany in 1891, Spring Awakening explores adolescence with a sharpness and fervor that is both extraordinary and tragic. This Tony Award-winning musical is an electric charge of morality, sexuality and rock and roll, as told by a rebellious group of late-19th-century youth in a town where the adults govern with a mighty stick. These students take us on a journey of self-discovery and coming-of-age anxiety in a daringly powerful show.
