Baltimore-based artist Michael Weiss '89 speaks about his work.

Michael Weiss is a Baltimore-based artist who uses traditional painting materials and methods to create contemporary images containing oblique, but not opaque, content. He has exhibited widely throughout the region, and his work is a part of numerous private and corporate collections. He is currently serving as the associate dean of fine arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he has been a full-time faculty member since 2003, teaching in the drawing, foundation, general fine art and painting departments. Weiss has received grants from the Creative Baltimore Fund (2008) and the Maryland State Arts Council (2000).

Closing Reception: 5:30 - 7 p.m., Artist Talk at 6 p.m.

Exhibition begins March 30 and continues through April 30.

Gallery hours: Tuesday - Friday, 3 - 5 p.m., Saturday 2 - 5 p.m.
