Norwich, England, Book Club: The Rings of Saturn Norwich prides itself on being England’s first UNESCO City of Literature. There is a long heritage of this area being a place of ideas, especially ideas expressed through the power of words. One novel in particular captures the spirit of East Anglia in a most unique way. W.G. Sebald’s The Rings of Saturn was described as "a hybrid of a book–fiction, travel, biography, myth, and memoir” in this New York Times article. Join Professor Lordi-Kirkham in a discussion of this book and its ideas and impact. * Please read the novel prior to the session. The book is available on Amazon (paperback $14.49, Kindle $5.61).
