Austrian-American film scholar and professor, Christian Quendler, will present a lecture -- Wild Wild Alps: Transatlantic Exchanges of Mountain Cinema.
Christian Quendler is an Associate Professor in the Department of American studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. His research and teaching include theories of literature, culture, and media and 19th- and 20th-century American, British and German literature. He also focuses on early theories of film, silent and early sound film, avant-garde and experimental film. This event (in English) is sponsored by the Max Kade Institute of Cultural German Studies and organized by the Department of German.
