Petrin is a Peace Operations Analyst at the Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute and formerly served as the Founder and Managing Director of Protect the People. Petrin has over 20 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, leading teams in complex emergencies and advising United Nations agencies, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). She graduated from Oxford University with a Masters of Studies in Forced Migration from the Refugee Studies Center and a B.A. in International Relations, African Studies, and French from Gordon College.
