Join the Dickinson history department for a free public screening (and post-film discussion) of this ground-breaking 2018 documentary.
Director Peter Jackson ("The Lord of the Rings," "The Hobbit") made this film last year to commemorate the centennial of the WWI Armistice on November 11, 1918. Using restored and colorized archival footage of WWI's Western Front from Britain's Imperial War Museum, paired with audio testimony from surviving British veterans recorded over the years by the BBC, the film has been called "thrilling and humbling to witness" and "the most memorable film of the year." Join the history department on the eve of Veterans Day this year for this free public screening; stay after the film for discussion and refreshments. Sponsored by the Dickinson History Department.
