Dickinson alumni, parents, leaders connect during national tour

Dickinson recently launched the Dickinson Forward Tour, bringing the newly inaugurated President John E. Jones III ’77, P’11, to communities across the United States to unveil his vision for the college’s future.

Alumni, Dickinson families and friends of the college are invited to attend a Dickinson Forward: Defining Our Revolutionary Future event that’s closest to them, so they can meet students, alumni and Dickinson families within their own communities, celebrate the good work afoot and discover President Jones’ latest plans to move Dickinson ever forward in the months and years ahead.

Eight stops are on the docket so far for 2022, beginning with kickoffs in Philadelphia and NYC. More Dickinson Forward Tour events are in the works for next year.

Upcoming Dickinson Forward Tour dates include:

Speaking during a Sept. 29 Dickinson Forward reception in Philadelphia, Kali Avans ’11, an educator living in the Philly region, noted that he enjoys the opportunity to meet with alumni and Dickinson parents in his city. He also enjoyed sharing insights with students and parents of current students, in hopes of helping them make the most of Dickinson. Cody Nichols ’15, a customer sales lead with the Campbell Soup Company, agreed on both counts.

“The networking is key," Nichols explained. "We also want to help make someone else’s Dickinson experiences key, crucial and memorable. We all feel that sense of Dickinson pride. We all feel that sense of urgency to do more.”
