How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?
The social, career and academic support from Dickinson and the departments of mathematics and economics constantly empowers me to grow both professionally and personally in order to stimulate the improvement in the quality of life for people and contribute to the common good.
What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?
With my passion for helping businesses maximize values and drive success through quantitative solutions, I aim to build my career in advisory and analytics. As a future econometrician, I can apply quantitative and statistical methodologies to data to create products that provide customers with informative insights and actionable strategies. The data-driven and client-focused mindset prepares me to work and assist customers successfully in many economics or management based fields by designing impactful and meaningful projects. Since every business is now increasingly relying on quantitative models to manage risk, capital adequacy and regulatory compliance, I am eager to deepen my expertise and further my skills to become a valuable asset to my company and a trusted advisor to customers.
What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?
Throughout the past four years at Dickinson, I was an active member of the Economics Majors Committee, the Food Advisory Committee and Delta Nu Sorority contributing to a growing and tight-knit community on campus. In addition, I also worked as a teaching assistant in mathematics for Professor Barry Tesman, a Quantitative Reasoning associate, a Peer Tutor and a Library Service consultant.
Internship Experience
During the past ten months, I have been working as a product analyst intern for the Product Management team at Verisk Analytics on the development, implementation and maintenance of InsurTech data and analytics products.
