Program Description:
The Dickinson College tablet computer initiative is intended to familiarize faculty and students with the use of mobile devices in the classroom. A few courses will be selected to receive tablet computers (iPad or Android) to use throughout the semester.
- Participants will receive a tablet to use over the summer and during the semester and will work with their Academic Technology liaison who will assist you in integrating the tablet in your course. Faculty should plan on at least a half an hour in-class tablet overview for students. Students will fill out a short pre-program survey at that time.
- Students will be loaned a tablet to use for the semester.
- At the end of the semester students will be asked to take a post-program survey.
- Tablets will be due for return to the Media Center Equipment room by 5 pm the day of their final.
