September 22, 2017
As we kick-off the new academic year and welcome the Class of 2021, we are reminded how nice it is to have wonderful students who are so passionate about Jewish life at Dickinson. While there has always been Jewish life on campus, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Jewish life Shabbat services at Dickinson. It was September 22, 1967 that the first Shabbat service was held on campus. To honor the 50th Anniversary, we will be celebrating this service in the Durbin Classroom located in Old West, previously known as the Durbin Observatory, the very same location that it was held in 50 years ago to the day! Dinner will follow services at the Asbell Center for Jewish Life.
