Dickinson will host the 2014 Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Basketball Championship at the Kline Center this weekend for the first time in its history. Semifinal games tip off at 6 and 8 p.m. on Friday night, with the winners advancing to the championship game at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
"We are excited to host the Centennial Conference tournament for the first time in school history this weekend as it recognizes the team for being the best in the league over the course of the 18-game regular season," said Alan Seretti, men's basketball head coach. "It also gives our students and supporters a chance to enjoy the tournament in the friendly confines of the Kline Center, where our players have great confidence and the crowd will provide great energy."
The Kline Center will be closed to the public for any other use at 4 p.m. on Friday and again on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Tickets for the games will be sold at the door.
Students with a valid college I.D. from participating schools can attend for free as well.
6 p.m. – No. 3 seed Johns Hopkins University vs. #2 seed Franklin & Marshall College
8 p.m. – Winner of Wednesday's first round game vs. #1 seed Dickinson
Game will start 30 minutes after conclusion of first semifinal game, but not before 8 p.m.
7 p.m. – Championship game
Dickinson will provide live broadcast coverage of both semifinal games on Friday and the final on Saturday.
