President Roseman kicks off her nationwide tour in Washington, D.C.

Dickinson Matters, a nationwide tour undertaken by President Nancy Roseman, got off to a strong start in Washington, D.C., this week. Nearly 100 alumni from the classes of 1952-2013—plus several parents of current students and parents of alumni—gathered at the Arts Club of Washington to meet President Roseman and exchange thoughts with her about the college.

Marking her first off-campus alumni event as president, Roseman mingled with guests and spoke of her excitement at being at Dickinson, allowing the group to get to know her. She also took questions, absorbing alumni and parents' thoughts and sharing some of her plans.

"Our alumni and parents are a crucial part of Dickinson and the future of our college," said Liz Glynn '06, associate director of alumni & parent engagement, "and President Roseman wanted to hear from them as soon as possible. We hope that everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to get to know her and hear about the future of our wonderful college."

Six more events are scheduled for this fall, and the tour picks up again in Baltimore on Oct. 3.
