On May 18, Dickinson celebrated the achievements of the class of 2025 with a heartfelt Commencement ceremony. The event featured inspiring speeches, proud moments and a look ahead at the promising futures of the graduates. Here are 25 things you should know about the class of 2025.
601 students graduated, making this the largest class in Dickinson’s history
Graduates represent 34 states and 23 countries
66% earned a bachelor of arts degree, and 34% earned a bachelor of science degree
61% graduated with Latin honors:
59 students graduated with departmental honors
72% graduated with one major, and 28% are double majors. Three are graduating with triple majors.
17 earned a certificate in health studies, security studies, food studies or CPYB
58 inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society
10 are semifinalists for the Fulbright award
5 will receive their commission into the U.S. Army as 2nd lieutenants
One student was awarded a fellowship through the James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program
9 are Posse Scholars
87 are first-generation students
85 varsity athletes made the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll
58% studied off campus in 31 countries
40 have relatives who graduated from Dickinson
Two completed a 3/2 program
127 participated in Greek organizations
27 are members of hat societies, including Wheel & Chain, Raven’s Claw, Scroll & Key and Hera Society
