The Reviews Are In!

When you're visiting Dickinson, there's no better place to stay than the John M. Paz ’78 Alumni & Family Center. With six premium suites for overnight stays, welcoming event spaces for reunions, social gatherings and lifelong-learning and networking opportunities and well-appointed, state-of-the-art workspaces, it's an ideal on-campus home for alumni and Dickinson families. And it can fill up fast.

But don’t take our word for it. Just ask some of the Dickinson alumni and friends in the know.

“It’s a perfect place to stay, with beautiful accommodations and a great workspace .” —Tom Hare '78

As the proud parents of Dickinson athletes, Tom '78 and Judianne Hare relish the chance to cheer on the Red Devils. They’re making the most of their daughter Charlotte ‘25’s final soccer season by booking stays at the Paz Center when she has games (often, they’re joined by fellow Red Devil parents Debi and Tim McSweeney P’28).

“It’s a perfect place to stay, with a wonderful staff, beautiful accommodations and a great workspace,” says Tom, who appreciates the center’s location at the edge of campus, in the heart of downtown Carlisle. “Everything you need is in one location, and it feels like home.”

Accommodations for special events

Harriet Marcus Lehman ‘72 and Mark Lehman '71 travel to Carlisle several times each year to attend special events, including Mark’s Board of Trustees meetings and Alumni Weekend. Last June, they rented all six Paz Center rooms so that family members returning to campus for Alumni Weekend could stay together in style.

“The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and comfortable, and each has an en suite bathroom. The staff at the center met all of our needs and was always just a text away, should we need something,” Harriet recalls. “We cannot wait to return!”

Ready to experience it for yourself?

Whether you're in town for game day, a campus tour or a special event—or you simply need a place to work or recharge while visiting the area—the Paz is a good bet for you. You'll even find a big dash of artistic inspiration, thanks to the newly donated art collection bedecking the center and its grounds. And because the Paz Center stands at the edge of campus, right in the heart of historic Carlisle, all Dickinson hotspots—and downtown's restaurants, galleries and shops—are only a short walk away.
