Scholarship Story: Lauren Orefice '24

“I knew I wanted to study in Italy, but I never anticipated how life-changing it would be.” —Lauren Orefice ’24

Thanks to scholarship support, Orefice is an environmental-studies and Italian major who applied her knowledge of language and culture as a study-abroad student in Bologna, Italy, last year. On campus, she serves as president of the Syrens a cappella group and the Italian Club. She plans to work for an environmental organization or a nonprofit focused on environmental justice.
