Annual Award Honors Distinguished Alumni
President John E. Jones III '77, P'11, recently received Mercersburg Academy's highest honor, the Class of '32 Distinguished Alumni Award, presented annually to members of Mercersburg’s alumni body who have distinguished themselves through character, service and achievement.
"You're not going to find a man with higher character than John has," says Stacie Rice Lissette, a 1985 Mercersburg graduate and four-time parent of graduates. "He's just such a good soul, a good person."
A 1973 graduate of the school, Jones has established the John E. Jones II '44 Memorial Scholarship Fund at Mercersburg Academy in memory of his father.
