Students from around the world keep the international presence on campus strong

For the 13th year running, Dickinson ranks in the top 40 nationally on Open Doors’ list of baccalaureate colleges enrolling international students. Landing at No. 29 this year, up from No. 36 in 2020-21, Dickinson has 280 students on campus hailing from 49 countries across the globe.

This represents about 12% of the college’s total 2,345 full-time students.

“Dickinson’s consistent ranking reflects our sustained institutional commitment to enrolling a diversity of students from around the world,” says Eric Weinhold, director of international admissions. “And international students, U.S. and dual citizens living outside the United States, and others with an international background come here and provide perspectives and understandings that enrich and enhance the Dickinson experience for all, contributing to the academic and cultural life of Dickinson in profound and meaningful ways.”

Open Doors is a project of the Institute of International Education, sponsored by the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It serves as the annual census of international students in the U.S. and study-abroad activity for U.S. colleges and universities.
