President Ensign will discuss decision-making, leadership during online event

On Thursday, July 30, President Margee M. Ensign will speak to the challenges and mechanics of coronavirus-era leadership during a virtual national panel discussion, Responsible Decision Making During a Crisis. Hosted by The Chronicle of Higher Education and moderated by Chronicle Senior Reporter Lindsay Ellis, the online event is free and open to the public.

Together with fellow panelists Reginald DesRoches (Rice University), Keith Whitfield (Wayne State University) and DeRionne Pollard (Montgomery College), Ensign will discuss how leaders can weigh pros and cons, balance the needs of all related groups and act nimbly in the face of change—even in higher ed, an industry not known for quick decision-making. She’ll also answer questions about Dickinson's partnerships with local, national and global experts and leaders, the college's crisis-response systems, and the institutional values and culture that helped guide the college forward during an uncertain time.

Responsible Decision Making During a Crisis will be livestreamed July 30 at 3 p.m. EDT. (Preregistration is required.)
