Serving as president of both the Dickinson Fencing Club and Dickinson Model United Nations has been a great joy. I was lucky to lead wonderful groups of engaged students in these extracurriculars. I also remember having a very strong friend group first year which came out of pre-orientation, which was a great way to start my four years. I will also be forever grateful to my professors of all different departments, as they have offered an incredible amount of one-on-one time and good instruction. Being able to cross between departments has enriched my learning experience to a great degree.

Dickinson and the Blue Mountain Battalion have provided me with leadership and cultural opportunities that I know will prepare me for my future in the U.S. Army. Dickinson taught me to challenge myself and be comfortable in uncomfortable situations, something I know will be continuous throughout my career. Studying abroad in Bologna, Italy gave me the chance to learn a new language and immerse myself in a new culture.

Studying abroad was the best experience I had at Dickinson College. Being an ROTC Cadet throughout my time at Dickinson, it gave me the chance to just be a college student for a semester. I will always remember my time in Bologna, traveling to Spain and France and the friendships made.
