How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

I think Dickinson has prepared me well for graduate school with its rigorous academics and the prevalence of cross-discipline study offered by a liberal-arts education. The philosophy department and faculty have been fantastic in helping me develop as a philosophy student and as a human being and I look forward to trying to contribute to both philosophy and higher education to give other students similar opportunities.

What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?

I'm looking forward to pursuing philosophy in graduate school and becoming a teaching assistant. Though challenging, I'm thrilled to both be able to continue my own research and try to help students grow and foster a love for philosophy and education.

What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?

The most defining moments of my Dickinson experience have primarily been either in the classroom or in my one-on-one meetings with the professors of various departments, and as there have been many amazing experiences with both, it's hard to nail down specific instances.

How has Dickinson prepared you for life after graduation?

It’s given me a sense of who I am and where my interests lie - I know the kind of work I want to do and what I want to study, and what sort of courses I’ll enjoy in law school. I’m ready to step out into the real world and start putting my degree to use, because Dickinson has taught me that an education without real world impact is of no material significance.

What are you most anticipating about your career or post-graduate pursuits?

I’m excited to go back to school and be immersed in the world of academia again - my philosophy degree has honed my abilities to assess, analyze, make distinctions, etc., and I can’t wait to put those into use soon.

What are some of the defining moments of your Dickinson experience?

Interactions with professors, my on campus jobs, doing homework on the Adirondack chairs, where do I stop!
