Dickinson College to Host Lecture on Emotional Response to COVID-19

Part of The Clarke Forum's 'The Good Life' Series

Licensed massage therapist and life coach Dana Souders will discuss tools to help people manage their emotional responses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her livestream lecture, “Pursuing the Good Life During a Pandemic: Pause, Connect, Pivot and Re-Design,” will take place Wednesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. The link to the event will be available on The Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues' website at 6:50 p.m. that evening. The public can watch the discussion and submit questions in the comments section of the YouTube live stream.

In her lecture, Souders will offer ways to calm our nervous systems, which, for many, have been overactive due to the emotions and added stress of living through the pandemic. She will discuss how to treat ourselves and others with grace. Souders has been practicing massage therapy for 22 years. In addition, she is a life coach and a facilitator of awareness and curiosity. She supports clients by helping them navigate the cycles and seasons of what makes them human. Souders has extensive training in massage therapy, life coaching and facilitation, trance dance facilitating and spiritual healing.

The event is sponsored by the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues as part of its series, “The Good Life,” which focuses on promoting positivity and thinking critically about our goals and notions of leading a productive and happy life.
