Artists Respond to COVID-19

Dickinson will host a virtual discussion with a panel of experts in the visual and performing arts titled “Carlisle Artists and Arts Organizations Respond to COVID-19.” The livestream event will take place Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. The link to view the event will be available the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues' website at 6:50 that evening. The public is invited to watch the discussion and submit questions for panelists in the comments section of the YouTube live stream. 

Participants:

  • Erika Juran is the executive director of Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center. She has several years of experience in the arts sector, including serving as a leader at an art museum and a regional arts council.
  • Zach King is a singer-songwriter from Perry County with a passion for traditional country music. He serves as the director of Kingfish & Friends, an art collective that works to support, build and promote the arts scene through community engagement and fellowship.
  • Becky Richeson is the executive director of the Carlisle Arts Learning Center (CALC). She focuses on using the power of art to cultivate relationships and strengthen the community,
  • Sarah Skaggs is an associate professor of dance at Dickinson. She is also the artistic director of Sarah Skaggs Dance and an internationally renowned choreographer from New York City.
