Day of Giving: Come Together for Dickinson

Mermaid, Old West

We know these are challenging times, but today we're asking Dickinsonians all over the world to come together for the Day of Giving. Based largely on an outpouring of support from our alumni community, we have decided to move forward with this fundraising effort, and one of the day's priorities is the newly launched Emergency Response Fund, which supports:

  • increased needs for financial aid
  • unanticipated student travel, technology or storage costs
  • and other expenses related to Dickinson’s response to COVID-19.

In fact, the college's trustees and emeritus trustees have come together to establish a generous challenge gift that will give more than $500,000 to the fund if it receives 1,000 gifts.

To join in the challenge, make your gift to the Emergency Response Fund today.

Additionally, Hannah Fabiszewski '17 and Fiona Farrell '18 are taking their @CashForCovid effort to Dickinson's Instagram and Facebook stories and posting challenge videos to the Alumni Instagram account today. Every 250 gifts made to the Emergency Response Fund will unlock a new video from the duo, who have been taking dares while self-isolating to raise funds for COVID-19 relief since mid-March.

Challenge Gifts

In addition to the trustee's Emergency Response Fund Challenge, other generous Dickinsonians have come forward to make Day of Giving challenge gifts.

Dickinson Fund Challenge: Thanks to a generous challenge gift from Matt Sheehan ’05, 500 gifts to the Dickinson's Fund's area of greatest need will unlock an additional $25,000 in funding.

Scholarship Challenge: Thanks to a generous challenge gift from Kevin Holleran ’73, we will unlock an additional $10,000 to Dickinson if we reach 250 donors to scholarships.

Class of 1995 Challenge: Gifts from the class of 1995 will be matched by the 1995 Reunion Committee up to $5,000 today.

Class of 2005 Challenge: Thanks to an anonymous challenge gift, we will unlock $10,000 in additional funding if the class hits 25% participation by June

We recognize that this is a difficult time to ask our community members to make a gift to the college, but if you're able to join in, we invite you to come together with Dickinsonians around the world and make your gift today.
