Dickinson President Margee Ensign sent the following message to the campus community on March 13 to report that the Centennial Conference will suspend athletic practices and competition as of March 16.
To the Dickinson community:
Yesterday the Centennial Conference Presidents Council made the unanimous decision to suspend, as of March 16, athletic practices and competition throughout our conference. The conference leadership and the Presidents Council will continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation and regularly assess the status of future spring athletics events.
I know this is a blow to our student athletes and their families, and particularly to seniors. The spread of COVID-19 is unprecedented, and we are all working diligently to balance the health and safety interests of our communities with the student life and academic experiences. Thank you for your understanding and support during this challenging time.
Margee M. Ensign
