Samantha Brandauer ’95 was recently named associate provost of the college and executive director of the Center for Global Study & Engagement, after serving as interim director since late March 2016. Before assuming her interim position, Brandauer was Dickinson’s director of education abroad.
Brandauer earned a B.A. in German and anthropology while at Dickinson and was active in study abroad, exploring programs in Cameroon, Germany and France. After Dickinson, Brandauer earned a master’s degree in international communication from the School of International Service at American University. She has served as associate director of the Office of International Programs at Brown University, visiting staff member at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen and assistant director of off-campus studies at Gettysburg College, among other related positions.
As executive director and associate provost, Brandauer is responsible for all global education programs, operations and services at the college, including education abroad and international student and scholar services.
