As Fit as Ever

Dickinson recognized once again as Fit-Friendly Workplace by the American Heart Association

For the second time, the American Heart Association (AHA) has recognized Dickinson as a platinum-level Fit-Friendly Worksite. The national honor acknowledges the college’s commitment to encouraging and supporting physical activity, healthy eating and a culture of well-being on campus.

The AHA's Fit-Friendly Honor Roll highlights employers who show progressive leadership and concern for their employees, and Dickinson has a host of programs, events and activities to ensure its annual place on the list. Employees benefit from such wellness programming as exercise and meditation sessions, health screenings, nutritional and weight-loss guidance and events such as the annual Benefits & Wellness Fair and Spring Into Fitness Week.

Meanwhile, organic produce from the College Farm is plentiful at Dickinson, athletics facilities are scattered across campus, and hiking and biking cultures thrive at the college and regionally.
