Carlisle lands on another “best of” list

Carlisle, Pa., has been named to the 2016 Best College Towns in America list, highlighting the appeal of the town Dickinson calls home.

Carlisle is ranked at No. 29 in the country on the list, which was compiled by Niche, a data-crunching company that took into account such factors as crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and local amenities in its rankings. When Niche ran their numbers, their database contained records for 19,140 places, of which they ranked 94.

This ranking comes on the heels of one by Livability—an online resource whose goal is “showcasing America’s best places to live”—in which Carlisle was ranked No. 16 nationally, in the small town category. And let’s not forget the recent national Strongest Town competition, which Carlisle won.

Anyone who's spent time in Carlisle knows its charms, but word seems to be spreading.
