Bluegrass on the Grass Festival Marks 21 Years at Dickinson

Dickinson will host the 21st annual Bluegrass on the Grass Festival on Saturday, July 9, from noon to 8 p.m. on the John Dickinson Campus, West High Street between West and North College streets. The event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets; the lawn can be accessed for chair set-up beginning at 8 a.m. on the day of the festival.

The festival will feature high-quality performers and a diverse mix of bands that offer bluegrass aficionados a variety of styles and subgenres. This year’s lineup features the Dismembered Tennesseans, Charm City Junction, Coal Town Rounders, High Fidelity and Big Country Bluegrass.

Nestled between Dickinson landmarks Bosler Hall and Old West, the one-day festival has become a regional event that draws about 4,000 music enthusiasts. A wide array of vendors will sell a variety of food and nonalcoholic drinks.
