Fourth annual Rush to Thank celebrates Dickinson pride

Everyone knows the importance of philanthropy. And tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dickinson is hosting its fourth annual Rush to Thank, an event that highlights just how important donor generosity is when it comes to ensuring a rich academic experience for every student.

Rush to Thank is sponsored by the Our Dickinson Committee and was created to recognize the ongoing support of alumni, parents and friends of the college. It also has become a great way to inform the campus community about the vital role that giving through the Annual Fund plays in each student’s life at Dickinson.

This year, a table in the HUB lobby will be set up with thank-you cards addressed to donors for students, faculty and staff to sign. Breakfast bars, fruit, coffee and tea will be on hand for those who sign, and each person will receive a sticker that says, “I thanked a Dickinson donor today!”

The Annual Fund helps support scholarships, academic programming, faculty endeavors, student life, facilities enhancement and sustainability initiatives, and Rush to Thank signs will be placed around campus displaying other facts about the Annual Fund and quotes from donors.

Those who come out and post about the event using the hashtag #dsonproud will receive a raffle ticket and be entered in a drawing to win prizes.
