Joe '59 and Judy Graham Carver '60

Joe '60 and Judy Graham Carver '60

“We’re so proud to see how Dickinson has evolved over the years. It’s a better institution today, and that’s what keeps us interested: Change is important, and change is good.” —Joe ’59 and Judy Graham Carver ’60

Met at Dickinson when Joe was an economics major and fraternity officer and Judy, an English major, cheerleader and sorority member. Joe interviewed and admitted (early decision) by Ben James '34; four years later, he worked for James in Dickinson's admissions department, kicking off a career in higher-ed administration. Judy reveled in her English classes (“the professors made the material spellbinding”); went on to forge a career in real estate and is still active in the arts. Both enjoy volunteering, retirement and time with their five granddaughters.
