Rhodes Scholarships

The Rhodes Scholarships are the oldest and most celebrated international fellowships around the world. Every year, 32 young American students, as well as students from other countries, are selected as Rhodes Scholars to pursue a graduate degree at Oxford University. Rhodes Scholars have not only outstanding scholarly achievements, but great character, commitment to the common good, and a potential for leadership in their professions.

Full financial support for Rhodes Scholars is provided by the Rhodes Trust. This British charity was established to honor the will of Cicil J. Rhodes, the English-born South African businessman and politician for whom the scholarship is named.
